carl and kristen met through mutual friends and began dating in spring of 2023
on their first date, carl took kristen to see a movie that wasn’t out yet — not like a cool, exclusive pre-screening. but like a ‘oh shoot the movie comes out NEXT week. so they went to chuy’s mexican restaurant in the opry mills mall instead.
the closest kristen and carl ever came to breaking up was during the 3-and-a-half hour movie ‘killers of the flower moon,.’ kristen kept asking when the movie was going to end because she was tired and hungry. then, they got a flat tire on the way home. if you haven’t gathered, they don’t plan many date nights to the movies anymore.
carl works full-time as a bread baker at nashville’s dozen bakery, and is an established singer-songwriter in town. he actually played evanston space in 2019, when kristen was managing the venue, but it was her only night off that week
kristen works full-time as the director of tour marketing for wasserman music, a global music agency and freelances for space presents, where she oversees festival marketing.
carl and kristen live in nashville with their two rescue dogs: birdie and john b. who are very, very loved but will not be attending the wedding because they’re too poorly behaved. they will, however, be there in spirit as the cake toppers to our wedding cake!
